Two weeks back Miza had a flight to Frankfurt and I was so excited for a girls’ day out with her. This is something I miss terribly. Don’t get me wrong, I have friends here and there’s also Fairoz’s cousins. But they are Fairoz’s cousins and they are boys. They do not understand my needs. The need to have alone time with a girlfriend to just chat and gossip.
I do not get much opportunity to just have a girls’ day out here and that to with someone who shares the same interests as me – coffee, cakes, beauty, fashion (modest fashion specifically), taking countless of OOTDs, and shopping! It has also been months since I last had a haircut or had my nails done. I know these things sound frivolous but these are some of the things I enjoy doing with my sisters and girlfriends.
Seriously, who in Frankfurt knows who Vivy Yusof is or even heard of brands such as Duck Scarves, Tudung People, Sugarscarf, Fashionvalet and such. Hands up if you do! We can have coffee and cakes – I know a couple of good places here. 😉
I am someone who is still trying to find her personal style. So when people usually ask me what my personal style is, I can never explain it. I guess for me it is all about comfort and ease. So lately my wardrobe consists mostly of basics. White and black long sleeve tees, tank tops, slim cut pants and lots of layering pieces.
Last Saturday Fairoz and I decided to bring the cameras out! And I say cameras cause we brought along both our Panasonic Lumix(s) – we are brand loyal that way. LOL! – out for a walk. We thought of vlogging. We haven’t done it for awhile. Actually, we usually bring our camera out along with us but we always end up forgetting about it.
The sun is finally out here in Frankfurt after days of it being cold and rainy. I can finally leave the house without bringing a jacket with me. Seriously, spring here is like Brisbane’s winter. Sorry Naaj, what you are experiencing in Brisbane is nothing compared to our unpredictable weather here. The other day Fai and I experienced a whole lot of unpredictable weather in just one day. It started bright and sunny and sometime in the late afternoon it hailed!
I am taking a break from our Week in Photos series for awhile. Cause there isn’t that many photos taken. 🙁
Anyways, I thought I’d share with you all how I dress on casual lazy days. This one here was taken awhile back. Fairoz and I have been going up and down the German Embassy here to handle our visas. And on some days, our appointments are early in the morning. So, this has been my go-to lazy outfit lately.
